Hold an Action Day
Help promote the Action for Access campaign and get more people in your local area involved by holding an Action Day.

Holding and an Action Day is a great way of getting people in your community together to talk about local access issues.
There are lots of different ways you can do this. You can plan a meeting and invite members of the community to talk about how to improve access.
Another option is to plan a day to go out and survey your local area.
How to plan an Action Day
Here are some things to think about when organising your Action Day.
- Where will you hold it? Is the venue accessible? Do an access survey to check.
- Who will you invite? Access issues effect lots of people in the community from disabled people to parents to older people. You might also want to invite your local councillor or MP help do some surveying.
- How will you advertise it? We have flyers below with a space where you can add details of your event. It helps spread the word to let your local newspaper and radio know. Add the details of your Action Day to our press release below and send it to your local press office.
- Write a post for our campaigns blog and our latest news section.
- What do you want to get out of the day?
- What will you do on the day?
- When will you do it? Is there a day or local event that you can tie it in with?
